We start with a chat to talk through your wedding day plans, priorities and the little details that matter most to you.

Together, we'll create a clear run sheet so everyone knows what's happening, when and who's responsible.

On your wedding day, I'm there behind the scenes - coordinating suppliers, guiding guests and solving problems before you even know they exist.
I will be the point of contact for all vendors on the day, helping keep the schedule to time so you can be fully present and stress-free.

Hi, I’m Jess — Founder and Principal Planner at Wedding Stress.
Half French, half Sri Lankan, born in Australia and raised around the world, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for different cultures, traditions, and the many ways people celebrate love.
The year leading up to my wedding was one of the most stressful times of my life. Between juggling suppliers, navigating hidden surcharges, and tracking a million moving pieces, the joy I expected from planning, quickly disappeared.
Like many couples, I thought I could handle it all — and technically, I did. But it came at the cost of my peace of mind. On the day itself, I was still answering calls, checking timelines, and making last-minute decisions. I barely had time to take a breath, let alone soak in the moment.
That experience is exactly why I started Wedding Stress — to give other couples the support I wish I'd had. I know how much pressure there is to make everything perfect, and I also know how important it is to actually enjoy your wedding day. You deserve to be present, calm, and surrounded by joy — not logistics.
When I’m not helping couples find calm in the chaos of wedding planning, I’m at home with my own little crew: Kiwi the cat, Moshu the dog, a busy toddler, and one very patient husband.
xx

It means I step in a few weeks before your wedding to learn your plans and then run the day itself — managing vendors, keeping things on schedule, and handling anything unexpected so you don’t have to.
I don’t offer full-service planning, but I’m happy to recommend amazing planners if you’re just starting out. I focus on the final stage — making sure your plans are executed perfectly on the day.
The earlier, the better — especially for peak seasons. I typically book 3–12 months in advance.
Absolutely. We’ll have a handover meeting (usually 4–6 weeks before your wedding) to go through everything you’ve planned. I’ll take it from there!
I mainly service Canberra and surrounding areas. I can sometimes travel further depending on the location.
I offer a free, no-obligation consultation so we can get to know each other, talk through your plans, and see if we’re a good fit. To make this as stress-free as possible, I will come to you! On average, consultations take 1-2 hours.
